At a loss for words

Mon Oct 24, 2005, 1:00 PM
Anyone looking for something deep, feel free to move along...

Today was just another day of trying to understand what really being socially active is all about. This community seems to be an ideal place for that, forcing me to drop the excuse of not finding sufficiently intresting people.

I am not a social person. I try to be useful to the people I like, but certain aspects of everyday communication tire me. In a group of people, I always wait for someone else to state the obvious. On the other hand, I suppose that individuality is mostly a matter of opinion, and stating your opinion is the only way of standing out as an individual in a social setting.

And now it comes to having all this -mostly- wonderful art going past me everytime I log in. I see people are usually posting enthusiastic geez-this-is-great messages by the dozen after anything that is good, adding nothing to a conversation.

On the other hand, appreciation is a good thing to express, and since not everything is :+fav: material I decided I want to do that too.

Obviously I am not the person to write a whole line of thank-you-for-existing-and-bringing-some-light-in-this-cold-damp-place-I-call-a-life stuff. Just the act of posting someting (inoffensive ;) ) should be enough to give people that warm, fuzzy feeling of being noticed.

This text is not pointless. It is a declaration! I have decided from this point on to give a biscuit (:biscuit:) to anyone that makes something I like. The idea of this reward is to condition the artistic world into producing stuff I like. And, by Pavlov, it should work!
